Midlife Woman, Come Home to Yourself

Carry your dream
like a flame in a vessel
Shoulders back
Head held high
One high-heeled step at a time
Forward
Always forward

Your dream is fluid, constant, an evolution
But it’s not a race
Not a test
Not an obligation
that leads you to achieve
The privilege
The righteousness
lies in the dream itself
Turning light, turning desire into matter
Flesh and bone

Carry your dream
With abandon
With full permission
With no excuses, no apologies
And unflinching honesty

Step into that great unknown
The abyss
The freefall
Accepting you’re not alone
Accepting it’s your divine purpose to fly

Lay down your tired stories
Your thread-worn fear
The things you tolerate that drain your soul
Give them up, give them away to birth your higher self

Hold up to the light
the container that bears your sacred being
Feel it
Feed it
Embrace it
Own it

Breathe in the real
The authentic
The holy
Tie what you know, what you are
To the dream
And come home to yourSELF

So many midlife women have reached, or are in the process of reaching, a major transition in their lives. Are you one of them? Whether it be career, relationships, things you’ve tolerated for way too long, or a deep tug at your soul that’s pulling you toward something new and different, you may find it difficult to know where to start – or how to stay with it when it becomes challenging. This is why I wrote [R]evolution and why I created it in a workbook format so that you can take notes in it, write in the margins, do the exercises within the book or doodle to your heart’s content. It’s waiting for you. [R]evolution: A Soulful and Practical Guide to Creating the Life You Want.
